Beach trash...meets Cricket

Well it is a tenuous link, but of course from a bating view point in that funny game that was English and has been taken over by many countries and the Caribbean n particular. Antigua is the birth place of one of its true legends, Sir Vivian Richard, the Master Blaster who knows what hard work and a challenge making a hundred runs is.

So can you imagine, when I received a note from a true activist, makes little "noise" but quietly in her own way gets to the meat, out to the beach her mission is to collect and bag the trash she finds. Sadly she is kept busy, to windward, the winter home of many fine yachts, she is finding that about 20% of her haul is made up of the materials and supplies that are basically consumables, employed in keeping those vessels in the condition that the owner expects and would likely be horrified to know that this is happening.

So like our beloved Master Blaster, Sir Vivian our lady on the beach is a champion, 100 bags of beach trash collected since November I understand. So please make this girls day, every day and think twice before you nonchalantly remove tape and mix paints etc and ensure that it goes in the appropriate waste container.
